Langer, Maggert share lead

Bernhard Langer and Jeff Maggert shared the lead Saturday over a bunched field heading into the final round of the U.S. Senior Open at Del Paso in Sacramento.

Langer, bidding for a second straight major title after winning the Senior Players Championsh­ip earlier this month, shot a two-underpar 68 and Maggert had a 70. Both were at five-under 205 for the championsh­ip.

Eight players were within a shot of the lead, including Tom Watson, Kenny Perry and defending champion Colin Montgomeri­e. The 65year-old Watson, who was tied with Maggert and Peter Fowler through 36 holes, salvaged a 71 after a tough round. Perry shot a 64, Montgomeri­e a 70.

PGA Tour

Brian Harman birdied the 18th hole for a five-under 65 and a one-stroke lead over fellow Georgia left-hander Bubba Watson and Canadian Graham DeLaet in the Travelers Championsh­ip at Cromwell, Conn.

Looking for his second PGA Tour victory, Harman had a bogey-free round to finish at 14-under 196 going into the final round at TPC River Highlands. Watson, two strokes ahead after the second round, shot a 68. DeLaet had a 64.

LPGA

Na Ye Choi matched her LPGA Tour low with an eight-under 63 to surge into the lead at 13 under in the NW Arkansas Championsh­ip at Rogers, Ark.

Choi, of South Korea, made a 45-foot eagle putt on the 18th hole for a back-nine 29. She finished her rain-delayed first round with a 66 early Saturday morning, and took the lead with her final putt of the second round.

Mi Jung Hur and Anna Nordqvist were tied for second at 11 under.

Internatio­nal

England’s James Morrison shot a five-under 67 to take a two-stroke lead after the third round of the BMW Internatio­nal Open in Munich. Morrison had a 16under 200 total. England’s Chris Paisley was second after a 66.
