GRAND SLAM DASHED: Jordan Spieth missed a par putt on No. 17, couldn’t birdie the final hole and missed the playoff. It cost him a shot at his thirdstraight major championship.
NOTEWORTHY: This was Johnson’s second major championship. He won the Masters in 2007. Leishman tied a British Open record by scoring 130 over the last 36 holes. It was last done by Anders Forsbrand at Turnberry in 1994.
