Dinosaurs set to run amok again
The park will reopen — again — in 2018. Universal Pictures has announced that its to-be-titled sequel to “Jurassic World” will hit theaters June 22, 2018.
Stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are back on board for the followup to the dino-blockbuster that rebooted the “Jurassic Park” franchise and nabbed the record for the biggest domestic opening.
Since its release last month, “Jurassic World” has grossed more than $1.5 billion worldwide.
A director has yet to be named for the sequel, though “World’s” Colin Trevorrow has indicated it won’t be him.
Frank Marshall will return to produce the followup, and original “Jurassic Park” helmer Steven Spielberg will again serve as executive producer, this time joined by Trevorrow.
