GALAXY TONIGHT

AT HOUSTON

- — Kevin Baxter

When: 6 PDT. Where: BBVA Compass Stadium. On the air: TV: TWC Sports, TWC Deportes; Radio: 980, 1330. Records: Galaxy 9-6-7, Dynamo 6-8-6. Record vs. Dynamo: 1-1-0. Update: Daytime temperatures hovering just below 100 degrees and evening humidity of 72% await Steven Gerrard in his first MLS game on the road. Gerrard had one goal and set up two of the scores in Robbie Keane’s hat trick in last week’s win over San Jose. The Galaxy, a winner in four of its last five league games, can vault back into first place in the Western Conference with another victory Saturday. The team had 20 goals in those five games with its four wins coming by an average of four scores. But all those results came at home; the Galaxy has yet to win a league game outside StubHub Center this season. The Galaxy will once again be without the services of Omar Gonzalez, Alan Gordon, Gyasi Zardes, Giovani dos Santos and Jaime Penedo, all of whom are with their national teams in the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Former Chivas USA forward Erick Torres is expected to make his MLS debut for Houston on Saturday after completing his loan assignment with Chivas of Guadalajara. The Dynamo has won just one of its last five league games.
