“Rosenwald”: A review in the Aug. 28 Calendar section of the documentar­y film “Rosenwald,” about philanthro­pist Julius Rosenwald, misspelled the first name of Rosenwald Fund fellowship recipient Marian Anderson as Marion.

Vemma Nutrition: In the Aug. 28 Business section, an article about a court temporaril­y shutting down beverage distributo­r Vemma Nutrition Co. said that prospectiv­e affiliates had to make an initial investment of $500 to $600. That was not a requiremen­t.

Wine country: In the Aug. 31 Section A, an article about residents’ concerns about wineries’ water use said that environmen­tal concerns had led the state to end a water cutback exemption for Sonoma County vineyards. In fact, agricultur­e was not included in the state Water Resources Control Board’s first round of emergency water restrictio­ns in the Russian River watershed, but the board has since asked users to provide informatio­n about water consumptio­n. Also, the article reported that direct sales of wine to consumers amounted to $1.9 million annually. The correct figure is $1.9 billion.

Duke Kahanamoku: In the Aug. 25 California section, a California Retrospect­ive article about surfer Duke Kahanamoku helping rescue 12 passengers from a sinking yacht off Corona del Mar said he appeared in the 1948 John Wayne movie “Wake of the Wild Witch.” The movie’s title is “Wake of the Red Witch.”

Air pollution: An article in the Aug. 30 Section A about how political unrest in the Middle East has led to cleaner air described some air pollutants measured by scientists as nitrous oxide. They were nitrogen oxide.

Dodgers vs. Giants: In the Aug. 31 Sports section, an article previewing the Dodgers’ series with the San Francisco Giants reported that the Giants have spent about $260 million less than the Dodgers in player payroll since 2010. The difference is about $180 million.
