“People want choices and they want their products now,” said Ioja, adding that DMES is able to offer sameday delivery on most items, thanks to its well-stocked, 15,000-square-foot warehouse in Huntington Beach.

DMES technicians are certified and all staff members are expertly trained and able to help customers find what they’re looking for and show them how to use their purchases.

“We’re thrilled to be in Orange now and able to help customers get the home health equipment and supplies they need, when they need them, and at a nearby, convenient location,” Ioja said. “We’ve had a wonderful reception and we’re very grateful.”

DMES is proud to offer its customers the home medical equipment items they need, as well as the option to try out the products and discuss them with local, knowledgeable employees, Ioja said.

“When it comes to home medical equipment, service and support are often critical,” he said. “The reality of today’s health care environment is that insurance covers much less, and the products may not be appropriate, which can be a disservice to those who have a true need.”

The staff at the new DMES retail location in Orange is ready to serve patients and beneficiaries with their individualized needs. Ioja notes that customer service is an important focus for the DMES store and its staff.

“We want to give seniors and those with illnesses, injuries or disabilities a place where they can be helped by knowledgeable, friendly professionals,” he said.

OC seniors and needs

Orange County counts an ever-growing percentage of seniors among its residents. With that in mind, Ioja estimates that the area is actually underserved when it comes to medical supply stores.

Therefore, DMES recognized the importance of going beyond its online sales and expanded its business to include a retail store, allowing local residents to shop more conveniently near home.

The new DMES showroom carries a wide inventory of the equipment and supplies needed in many home health-care situations. Products available range from incontinence products, diabetic supplies, catheters and nutritional supplements to wheelchairs, walkers, power scooters and shower chairs.

DMES provides rental and financing options for some of its equipment, especially larger specialty pieces. Equipment delivery and set-up can also be made available.
