She’s a clerk, not a terrorist

Re “It’s not God’s work,” Letters, Sept. 10

Letter writer Paul D. Wilson challenges Kim Davis’ supporters to show why she is no different from Islamic extremists.

To start, the clerk of Rowan County, Ky., has not cut off anyone’s head, burned anyone alive, tossed gays off tall buildings, subjected women to sexual slavery, shot up Paris, flown planes into tall buildings or destroyed World Heritage sites.

Wilson says that, as a public official, Davis must follow the law. Like Gavin Newsom issuing illegal marriage licenses as mayor of San Francisco? Is Newsom similar to an Islamic extremist?
