‘Daily Show’ airing rerun

“The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah had an emergency appendectomy that forced Comedy Central to plan a rerun of an earlier show for Wednesday night.

“We’re happy to report the procedure went well and he is currently recuperating from surgery,” Comedy Central said of Noah’s operation, which was Wednesday morning. The network added that it expected an original episode of “The Daily Show” to air Thursday.

Noah has a one-hour stand-up special, “Trevor Noah: Lost in Translation,” airing Nov. 22 on Comedy Central.
