Hawks end Bulls’ six-game win streak

Al Horford scored a seasonhigh 33 points and had 10 rebounds, Paul Millsap added 18 points and the Atlanta Hawks defeated Chicago, 120-105, Saturday afternoon in Atlanta to end the Bulls’ sixgame winning streak.

Jimmy Butler scored 14 of his 27 points in the third quarter for Chicago, and Nikola Mirotic had 24 points.

The Hawks have won two straight after dropping three of four. Beating the Bulls (22-13), who are second in the Eastern Conference, gave Atlanta (23-15) its first signature win over an NBA contender since it beat Oklahoma City on Nov. 30.

Golden State 128, at Sacramento

116: Stephen Curry had 38 points and 11 assists, and the Warriors won their sixth in a row. Curry made eight of 14 three-point shots as Golden State improved the NBA’s best record to 35-2.

at Utah 98, Miami 83: Gordon Hayward scored a season-high 34 points, helping the Jazz end a three-game losing streak. Chris Bosh had 24 points for the Heat (22-15), which fell from third to fifth in the East. Jonas Valanciunas had 17 points for the Atlantic Division leaders, who will go for their fourth straight win when they wrap up a six-game trip Thursday against Orlando in London. Ish Smith’s career-high 28 points led Philadelphia (4-35), which has lost 11 straight against Toronto.

at Detroit 103, Brooklyn 89: Andre Drummond had 23 points and 11 rebounds, and the Pistons pulled away at the beginning of the fourth quarter to win their third straight. Reggie Jackson had 23 points and eight assists for Detroit, and Ersan Ilyasova added 19 points and 13 rebounds. Brook Lopez had 19 points and seven rebounds for the Nets, who have lost four straight. Washington 105, at Orlando 99: John Wall had 24 points and 10 assists to help the Wizards defeat the Magic for the 12th straight time. The victory ended a three-game losing streak for Washington, which got double-figure scoring from all five starters and reserve Gary Neal. Nikola Vucevic had 23 points and nine rebounds for Orlando, which has lost five of six.
