Warriors beat Pacers in Kerr’s return
GOLDEN STATE 122 INDIANA 110
Stephen Curry scored 39 points, including a banked- in three- pointer from midcourt with a hand in his face at the halftime buzzer, and finished with a triple- double, helping Coach Steve Kerr win his season debut, a 122- 110 victory for the Golden State Warriors over the Indiana Pacers on Friday night.
Kerr returned from a leave of absence dating to Oct. 1 because of complications following two back surgeries, and defending champion Golden State delivered for him by winning its 38th consecutive home game at Oracle Arena to match the 1985- 86 Boston Celtics for third- longest home winning streak of all time. The Warriors are 20- 0 at home this season.
Curry had 12 assists and 10 rebounds for his second triple- double of the season and seventh of his career. The reigning MVP made eight three- pointers in 15 attempts and shot 11 for 19 overall. Golden State has 10 triple- doubles this season — Draymond Green has the other eight — to match a franchise record set in 1959- 60.
