Easter week in one Guatemala town is an elaborate affair in which all residents come to celebrate. Now you can be part of the procession in Antigua in the country’s central highlands, where floats and flower carpets mark the Santa Semana or Holy Week festivities. The tour is led by archaeologist Antonio Gonzalez and naturalist and environmentalist Emilio Faillace. Participants stay in style in Antigua, deemed a UNESCO World Heritage site, along with other locations. Dates: March 23-April 2. Price: $4,995 per person. Includes international and domestic airfares, accommodations, daily meals, transportation, tours, entrance fees, bilingual tour guides and taxes and tips.
