Celtics pick up 14th home victory in row

Isaiah Thomas scored 22 points, including 16 in the third quarter that helped the Boston Celtics turn a three- point deficit into a 16- point lead on the way to a 116- 96 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night.

It was the Celtics’ 14th consecutiv­e home victory.

The Grizzlies lost guard Mario Chalmers in the third quarter to what the team said was a right foot injury. Chalmers was unable to put any weight on the leg and needed assistance off the court.

JaMychal Green had 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Grizzlies. Rookie Jarell Martin, who had scored eight points this season, finished with 16.

at Charlotte 122, New Orleans 113:

Kemba Walker scored 35 points for the Hornets, who won their f ifth game in a row and for the 11th time in 13 games. Anthony Davis had 40 points and 13 rebounds, and Jrue Holiday scored a season- high 38 points for the Pelicans.

Houston 118, at Philadelph­ia 104:

James Harden scored 29 points, and Dwight Howard had 21 points and 18 rebounds to help lift the Rockets. Ish Smith scored 21 points for the 76ers, who lost their 13th game in a row.

at Milwaukee 114, Miami 108: Giannis Antetokoun­mpo scored 24 points and the Bucks ended the Heat’s winning streak at f ive games. Hassan Whiteside had 23 points and 13 rebounds for Miami.

Detroit 102, at Dallas 96: Marcus Morris scored 20 points and Andre Drummond had 25 points and 17 rebounds to help lift the Pistons. Chandler Parsons and Dirk Nowitzki each scored 25 points for the Mavericks, who lost their fourth game in a row.

New York 128, at Phoenix 97: Sasha Vujacic and Carmelo Anthony each scored 23 points for the Knicks, who had a season- high 16 three- point baskets. Tyson Chandler had nine rebounds for the Suns, giving him 9,005 and making him the 50th player in NBA history to reach that milestone.

Cleveland 120, at Sacramento 111:

Kevin Love converted a four- point play with 1: 32 remaining, Kyrie Irving scored 30 points and the Cavaliers hung on. DeMarcus Cousins had 29 points for the Kings.

at Golden State 115, Utah 94: Klay Thompson scored 23 points and the Warriors extended their regular- season home winning streak to 46 games. Trey Burke led the Jazz with 18 points.

at Oklahoma City 120, Clippers 108
