Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos will miss one to three months because of a blood clot in his arm. Stamkos, the team’s leading scorer with 36 goals and 64 points, is scheduled to have a procedure Monday.

Injured Chicago Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford should be back for the playoffs and could return before the end of the regular season, the team said. Crawford has missed nine games because of an upper- body injury.

Hilary Knight, Jocelyne Lamoureux- Davidson and Kelli Stack each scored twice and the United States routed Russia, 9- 0, in the semifinals of the women’s hockey world championsh­ips. The U. S. faces host Canada for the championsh­ip Monday in the British Columbia city of Kamloops.

Oklahoma guard Buddy Hield won the James A. Naismith Trophy as college basketball player of the year. Villanova’s Jay Wright was named coach of the year for the second time.

Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski had knee replacemen­t surgery. The school said he could be released within three days and will begin a rehabilita­tion program. Krzyzewski, 69, will coach the U. S. national team this summer in the Rio de Janeiro Olympics.

Premier League clubs Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester denied any links to doping after being mentioned in a newspaper report on a doctor alleged to have prescribed performanc­e- enhancing substances. The doctor, Mark Bonar, was secretly videotaped by the Sunday Times of London saying he has treated more than 150 athletes in the last six years with banned substances. A British government investigat­ion is set to look into Bonar and how the country’s anti- doping agency handled allegation­s against him in 2014.

Notre Dame cornerback Nick Watkins had surgery for a broken left arm and will miss the f inal two weeks of spring practice.

Cyprian Kotut and Visiline Jepkesho of Kenya won the men’s and women’s titles in the Paris marathon.
