“Lions at Lunchtime” Mary Pope Osborne

Annie and Jack go to the plains of Africa by way of the magic tree house. Annie helps wildebeests cross a river, and they meet a Masai warrior.

This book has a lot of action and the main characters are likable. They go to many cool places and help a lot of people and animals.

My favorite part is when they meet the lions, and the other part I like is when they meet the awesome Masai warrior.

I learned that when zebras and gazelles and millions of wildebeests migrate from Tanzania to Kenya, they must first cross the Mara River. This book has cool facts that are fun to learn.

“The Best Grandma Ever” (Hooked on Phonics, Book 23) Jan Swanberg

This book is about a girl who goes to her grandma’s house and learns from her. First of all, she makes cookies with her. Second of all, she helps her with her spelling. Lastly, she reads to her. I enjoyed this book because it taught me there is a lot you can learn from your grandma.

“My Dog, My Hero” Betsy Byars, Betsy Duffey and Laurie Myers

This is a fun book to read. There are eight dogs, and each dog is a hero that wins an award because they save people and animals’ lives.

For example, Buster wins an award because he saves a baby next door. Who wins the My Hero Award? You have to read the book to find out.
