Kesha to kick it in Vegas

- — Gerrick D. Kennedy

Kesha is headed to Las Vegas. The multiplatinum pop star is joining the growing list of young pop acts dominating the Strip with a mini-residency this summer, playing a trio of nights at the Wynn Las Vegas.

The 29-year-old will perform her biggest hits at Intrigue Nightclub, the Wynn’s lavish new club, on June 23, June 25 and July 23. Tickets are already on sale.

Kesha’s short stint continues the pop singer’s public emergence in the wake of a legal battle against her onetime mentor and collaborator, Dr. Luke. In 2014, she jolted the music industry when she filed a lawsuit against the platinum producer, alleging a decade of sexual, physical and mental abuse. Dr. Luke is responsible for some of her biggest hits, including “Tik Tok,” “Your Love Is My Drug,” “We R Who We R” and “Timber.”

Dr. Luke has denied all the claims and has continued to remain one of pop’s most in-demand hit makers.

Kesha is also scheduled to play Diplo’s Mad Decent Block Party traveling festival, including the final stop at downtown’s L.A. Center Studios in October.
