Acting governor: A July 29 editorial said that Gov. Jerry Brown was able to reverse the judicial appointment of Armand Arabian only because it had not yet been confirmed by the state Senate. In fact, nominees to the Court of Appeal and the state Supreme Court are confirmed by the Commission on Judicial Appointments.
