Big profit from Games?
The Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro begins Friday, and NBC figures to be a big winner. The network expects its prime-time rating for the Olympics to be higher than 2012 because all events will be broadcast live. NBC-Universal CEO Steve Burke said it will be “the most prof itable Olympics in history.” NBC paid $4.32 billion in 2011 for the rights to four sets of Games.
