Barbra Streisand heads out on a rare concert tour beginning Aug. 2 in Los Angeles. It will give the Funny Girl, 74, a chance to demonstrate to fans why she is the only recording artist to have a No. 1 album in each of the last six decades. 1. She was born Barbara but changed the spelling of her first name to be unique. 2. At Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, she sang in the chorus with Neil Diamond. 3. Streisand’s first professional engagement was opening for comedian Phyllis Diller. 4. President Barack Obama awarded her the Presidential Medal of Freedom in November 2015. 5.
