Barbra Streisand heads out on a rare concert tour beginning Aug. 2 in Los Angeles. It will give the Funny Girl, 74, a chance to demonstrat­e to fans why she is the only recording artist to have a No. 1 album in each of the last six decades. Here are five more facts about the Brooklyn-born actress-singerprod­ucer.

1. She was born Barbara but changed the spelling of her first name to be unique. 2. At Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, she sang in the chorus with Neil Diamond. 3. Streisand’s first profession­al engagement was opening for comedian Phyllis Diller. 4. President Barack Obama awarded her the Presidenti­al Medal of Freedom in November 2015. 5. She’s won eight Grammys, four Emmys, two Oscars and an honorary Tony.
