Eminem, Drake end feud rumors
So much for reports of a feud between rappers Eminem and Drake, amid growing social media speculation that one or the other was readying a diss track aimed at the other.
Eminem joined Drake on stage Tuesday night at the Joe Louis Arena in Eminem’s hometown of Detroit to perform Drake’s song “Forever.”
Introducing his guest, Drake made his respect for the rapper born Marshall Mathers clear by inviting the crowd to “make some noise for the greatest rapper to ever get on a microphone,” according to a report from the show in the Detroit Free Press. Eminem then asked fans to do the same for Drake before saying, “Detroit, I love you. I’m out.”
A representative for Eminem’s label, Interscope Records, provided no other information about the nature of the onstage duet.
Twitter and Instagram have been buzzing in recent weeks as fans have weighed in enthusiastically about the prospect of the two in a rap battle and who might win. The duo posed for photos together on social media.
