Afflalo’s late basket sinks the Cavaliers

Arron Afflalo made a threepoint basket with 17.3 seconds left in overtime, lifting the Sacramento Kings to a 116-112 victory over the host Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night.

DeMarcus Cousins had 28 points and 10 rebounds for the Kings, who trailed by five points in overtime. Darren Collison scored 23 points for Sacramento.

LeBron James had 24 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists, and Kevin Love had 21 points and 16 rebounds for the Cavaliers, who lost for the sixth time in eight games.

at Boston 120, Houston 109: Isaiah Thomas had 38 points and nine assists to help lift the Celtics. It was Thomas’ 15th game this season with at least 30 points. James Harden had 30 points and 12 assists for the Rockets, who lost for the sixth time in nine games.

at Memphis 101, Toronto 99: Marc Gasol scored a career-high 42 points, including the deciding two free throws with 36 seconds left, as the Grizzlies sent the Raptors to their fifth loss in a row.

Golden State 113, at Charlotte 103:

Kevin Durant scored 16 points in the fourth quarter and finished with 33, and Stephen Curry, who played in high school in Charlotte, scored 28 points for the Warriors. The game drew 19,639, the largest crowd at Spectrum Center.

Oklahoma City 114, at New Orleans 105: Russell Westbrook had 27 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists for the Thunder, passing Larry Bird with his 60th career tripledouble. Pelicans star Anthony Davis left in the second quarter after aggravating a thigh injury.

Atlanta 119, at Chicago 114: Dennis Schroder scored 24 points and the Hawks ended the game on a 19-4 run to beat the Bulls for the seventh time in a row. Jimmy Butler had 40 points for the Bulls.

Philadelphia 114, at Milwaukee

109: Gerald Henderson scored 20 points for the 76ers, who scored a season-high 72 points in the first half on the way to their fifth victory in six games.

Miami 109, at Brooklyn 106: Dion Waiters scored 24 points, including a three-pointer with 6.8 seconds to play, and the Heat overcame an 18point deficit to win their fifth game in a row. Brook Lopez scored 33 points for the Nets, including a career-high seven three-pointers.
