Re “University of San Diego is No. 1,” Aug. 6

My response to this article was total disbelief.

As a graduate of the University of California Santa Barbara, my fellow alums and I would beg to differ with the designation of the University of San Diego as the most beautiful campus.

No, I think anyone who has ever attended or visited historic Isla Vista will agree.

My recent visit there reminded me I was “vacationing” in college, then “checked out” with a highly respected degree. Perry A. Amos
