- — Broderick Turner

The Clippers traded shooting guard DeAndre Liggins and cash to the Atlanta Hawks, according to an NBA official who was not authorized to speak publicly on the matter. The move creates a $1.67-million trade exception that the Clippers must use within a year, and drops them $122,000 below the luxury tax level. Liggins, who averaged 2.4 points in 61 games with Cleveland last season, was acquired by the Clippers in the June deal that sent Chris Paul to the Houston Rockets. The Hawks reportedly plan to waive Liggins.
