Women’s journey by horseback
Get in touch with nature on a horseback tour offered by AdventureWomen. The excursion introduces visitors to scenery that includes the still-active Hekla Volcano and icy mountain glaciers. Participants will ride 18 to 20 miles per day on Icelandic horses, a breed known for its unusual gait, intelligence and friendly character. Another activity: riding alongside a herd of free-running Icelandic horses under the midnight sun on one of the longest days of the year.
