Rockets put another beating on Cavaliers

Chris Paul had 22 points and 11 assists, Ryan Anderson added 21 points and the Houston Rockets became the latest team to thump Cleveland on national TV, beating the Cavaliers 120-88 on Saturday.

James Harden scored only 16 points — 15 below his league-leading average — but Houston rolled to its fourth straight win and improved to 11-2 since Jan. 8.

Meanwhile, the Cavaliers’ collapse continued. Since losing at Golden State on Christmas, LeBron James and the Cavaliers are 0-8 in network broadcasts and have been embarrasse­d half the time. They lost by 28 at Minnesota, 34 in Toronto, 24 at home to Oklahoma City and 32 to the Rockets.

James scored just 11 points and didn’t play in the fourth quarter. at Denver 115, Golden State 108: Nikola Jokic scored 19 points, including a go-ahead three, as the Nuggets split the season series. Kevin Durant had 31 points and Stephen Curry 24 for the Warriors.

Utah 120, at San Antonio 111: Ricky Rubio had a season-high 34 points with nine assists as the Jazz won their fifth straight. LaMarcus Aldridge had 31 points in the Spurs’ final home game before their annual month-long Rodeo Road Trip.

at Detroit 111, Miami 107: Andre Drummond had 23 points and 20 rebounds, and Blake Griffin made a key three in the final minute as the Pistons won their third in a row. Griffin had 16 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. at Indiana 100, Philadelph­ia 92: Victor Oladipo and Bojan Bogdanovic each scored 19 points as the Pacers handed the 76ers their fourth road loss in a row. Joel Embiid played both nights of the backto-back for the first time and had 24 points and 10 rebounds. at Minnesota 118, New Orleans 107: Jimmy Butler scored 30 points, Karl-Anthony Towns had 22 points and 16 rebounds for his leaguelead­ing 47th double-double, and the Timberwolv­es won their 12th straight at home for a four-game season sweep of the Pelicans. Washington 115, at Orlando 98: Otto Porter scored 20 points and Tomas Satoransky had a careerhigh 19 as the Wizards won their fourth straight without John Wall.
