A first for Raptors: Top seed in the East

There’s a new regular-season champion in the Eastern Conference.

Serge Ibaka scored a seasonhigh 25 points, DeMar DeRozan had 12 and the host Toronto Raptors beat the Indiana Pacers 92-73 on Friday night, clinching the top seed in the East for the first time in team history.

“There’s gratificat­ion but you’re not satisfied,” Raptors coach Dwane Casey said. “We haven’t got to our ultimate goal, but it’s a feeling of gratificat­ion.”

The Raptors, who beat the Pacers for the ninth straight time, set franchise records for wins in a season (57) and home wins (33).

Glenn Robinson III scored 12 points and Trevor Booker had 11 for the Pacers. Indiana set season lows in points, made field goals and field-goal percentage.

“They pressured us, they pushed the tempo,” Pacers coach Nate McMillan said. “We just didn’t have any legs.”

Ben Simmons topped LeBron James in a triple-double battle to lead the 76ers to their 13th straight win. Simmons had 27 points, 15 rebounds and 13 assists for the 76ers, who led by as many as 30 points. James, one of his mentors, had 44 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds.

Taurean Prince scored 23 points as the Hawks handed the Wizards their fourth straight loss. Bradley Beal had 32 points for Washington.

at Boston 111, Chicago 104: Greg Monroe came off the bench and had 19 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists for the Celtics, who snapped a two-game skid.

at New York 122, Miami 98: Rookie Damyean Dotson had a careerhigh 30 points and 11 rebounds, and reserve Luke Kornet added a career-best 17 points for the Knicks.

at Detroit 113, Dallas 106 (OT):

Reggie Jackson scored 12 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter and overtime for the Pistons.

Charlotte 137, at Orlando 100:

Rookie Malik Monk scored a season-high 26 points and Frank Kaminsky had 21 for the Hornets.

Sacramento 94, at Memphis 93:

Bogdan Bogdanovic connected on a 16-footer with one second left to lift the Kings.

New Orleans 122, at Phoenix 103:

Nikola Mirotic had a season-high 31 points and 16 rebounds for the Pelicans.
