Fine actress, finer daughter

Regarding: “In TV She Can ‘Trust’ Again” [April 2]: Congratulations to Hilary Swank for her role in the FX limited series “Trust” and even more on her dedication to her ailing father. In this interview, Swank exemplified the responsibility kids have to their parents. Too many fathers and mothers are in nursing homes without a single visit from their kids. I felt compelled to write it on behalf of all the parents who need their kids’ help. Judith Fontaine Brentwood

Perhaps being fired long ago from the Fox drama “Beverly Hills, 90210” was just the impetus Swank needed to showcase her talents. Her Oscar-winning performances in “Boys Don’t Cry” and “Million Dollar Baby” remain indelibly on this viewer’s mind. It will be exciting to once again experience her creativeness in “Trust.” Isadora Johnson
