First impressions

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s two-goal performance in his first game with the Galaxy was nothing new. He already had scored in his first game in four of Europe’s strongest leagues:

2004: SERIE A

Scored the final goal for Juventus in a 3-0 victory over Brescia.

2009: LA LIGA

Scored for Barcelona in a 3-0 victory of Sporting Gijon, also adding goals in each of his next four games.

2012: LIGUE 1

Rallied Paris Saint-Germain to a 2-2 tie with Lorient by scoring a pair of second-half goals, including a last-minute penalty kick.

2016: EPL

Scored on a long-range shot in Manchester United’s 3-1 victory over Bournemouth.
