A choco­late-tast­ing and travel talk will be led by cook­book au­thor and chef Susie Nor­ris, the au­thor of "Choco­late Bliss" and "Hand-Crafted Candy Bars." Nor­ris' culi­nary travel blog, Food Mar­ket Gypsy, won the In­ter­na­tional Assn. of Culi­nary Pro­fes­sion­als' Dig­i­tal Me­dia Award in 2016. Nor­ris has taught bak­ing and pas­try arts at Le Cor­don Bleu Col­lege of Culi­nary Arts and for 10 years ran an award-win­ning ar­ti­san choco­late busi­ness in Los An­ge­les. The tast­ing and talk will fo­cus on re­gions where ca­cao is grown and get­ting to culi­nary sources through solo travel.
