Freshman Trevor Lawrence came off the bench to throw four touchdown passes as the Tigers produced their most complete performanc­e of the season. The Yellow Jackets fumbled eight times, recovering seven of them but giving up a touchdown.

No. 8 Notre Dame 56, Wake Forest 27:

Ian Book rushed for three touchdowns and threw for two more in his first start of the season for the Fighting Irish. Jafar Armstrong had touchdown runs of one and 30 yards for Notre Dame, which rolled up a season-best 566 yards.

at Old Dominion 49, No. 13 Virginia Tech 35:

Blake LaRussa came off the bench to throw for 495 yards and four touchdowns as Old Dominion, a 28-point underdog, scored an upset. Jeremy Cox’s 40-yard touchdown run with 1:34 remaining sealed the biggest win in program history.

at No. 21 Miami 31, Florida Internatio­nal 17:

N’Kosi Perry came off the bench to throw three touchdown passes for the Hurricanes. Travis Homer rushed for 114 yards and a score, Lawrence Cager caught two scoring passes, and Miami held the Panthers to 31 yards on its first 10 possession­s.

Quentin Harris passed for 202 yards and three touchdowns for Duke before leaving with an injury. Brittain Brown rushed for 118 yards and a score and added a 43-yard touchdown catch to help the Blue Devils start 4-0 in back-to-back seasons.

Deondre Francois threw for a season-high 352 yards and two touchdowns for the Seminoles. Keith Gavin set career highs for catches (six) and yards receiving (93) in a dominant first half.

at North Carolina 38, Pittsburgh 35:

Antonio Williams and Nathan Elliott turned in career-best performanc­es in the Tar Heels’ best offensive showing of the season. Williams ran for 114 yards while Elliott passed for 313.

at Syracuse 51, Connecticu­t 21:

Eric Dungey scored three touchdowns and threw for one for Syracuse, which won its first four games for the first time since 1991.

at Virginia 27, Louisville 3:

Bryce Perkins threw for two touchdowns and ran for 78 yards and a score for the Cavaliers. Louisville was held to just 214 yards.

North Carolina State 37, at Marshall 20:

Kelvin Harmon caught six passes for 150 yards, all in the first half, and Ryan Finley threw for 377 yards for the Wolfpack.
