The NHL fined Edmonton Oilers forward Milan Lucic $10,000 for roughing Tampa Bay Lightning forward Mathieu Joseph.

It is the maximum amount allowed under the collective bargaining agreement between the NHL and NHL Players’ Assn.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. indicated he would withdraw from a bout with undefeated Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, 20, that was scheduled to take place on New Year’s Eve outside Tokyo.
