Tilly’s Life Center empowers teens to create better, happier lives

-

According to the Center for Disease Control, the top 3 causes of death in the United States for 15-24 year-olds are unintentional injury, suicide and homicide. With your help, we can stop this epidemic.

Our Mission:

Tilly’s Life Center (TLC) is a youthfocused, 501(c)(3) nonprofit aimed at empowering all teens with a positive mindset and enabling them to effectively cope with crisis, adversity and tough decisions. Our mission is to inspire today’s youth to reach their full potential as productive, kind, happy, and responsible individuals.

Our Program:

TLC’s program empowers teens by teaching soft skills, coping methodologies and social emotional learning techniques that build confidence, inspire compassion, and encourages them to set goals, continue their education, build a future career and pursue their dreams. Our classes use experiential learning, including journal writing, open discussions, and activities to promote self-discovery and cover relevant topics in a positive, safe and caring environment.

Our Impact:

Founded in 2012, TLC continues to educate 1,660 students within this year alone. With over 4,700 alumni and an increase of 40% students year over year – TLC continues to embed mental health support into classrooms to help students overcome depression, anxiety, mental, physical and substance abuse. In short, we teach the essential skills that help youth understand and deal with their thoughts, emotions, mood and behavior in an effort to address warning signs long before a potential crisis ensues.
