“The Upside”: In the Jan. 11 Calendar section, a review of the movie “The Upside” said that Bryan Cranston’s character was paralyzed from the waist down; he was paralyzed from the neck down.

SpaceX layoffs: In the Jan. 12 Business section, an article about job cuts at SpaceX said the company planned to lay off more than 10% of its workforce. The layoffs would amount to about 10% of its workforce.

LAUSD strikes: In the Jan. 11 Section A, an article about previous strikes by Los Angeles teachers said that a mock funeral for public education preceded the 1989 walkout. The mock funeral occurred in 1992, as the school district faced cuts in state spending.

Davis officer killed: In the Jan. 12 California section, an article about slain Davis police Officer Natalie Corona said that Davis is five miles west of Sacramento. The distance is 15 miles.

“I Am the Night”: In the Calendar section in this edition, an article on the upcoming TV miniseries “I Am the Night” on TNT described Patty Jenkins as the director of all six episodes. She directed only the first two episodes. The error was discovered after the section went to press.

State budget graphic: In the Jan. 11 Section A, an article about Gov. Gavin Newsom’s state budget proposal included a chart categorizi­ng the budget spending with bar lengths that did not accurately represent the figures shown. The figures themselves were correct.
