OKLAHOMA CITY 122 SAN ANTONIO 112

Dennis Schroder scored all of his 19 points in the second half to help the host Oklahoma City Thunder beat the San Antonio Spurs 122-112 on Saturday night.

LaMarcus Aldridge, who scored a career-high 56 points against the Thunder on Thursday, finished this one with 17.

“They didn’t let me play,” he said. “They doubled me in every way. They came from the baseline, from the top. They made sure that the ball wasn’t in my hands.”

Russell Westbrook had 24 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, and Paul George added 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Thunder, who bounced back from a 154-147 double-overtime loss.

Oklahoma City’s reserves scored 48 points to help snap a three-game losing streak.

Marco Belinelli had 24 points and DeMar DeRozan had 18 for the Spurs, who led 60-51 at halftime.

Schroder, who entered shooting just 32% from the field in 2019, went 0 for 4 in the first half before going eight for 13 after the break.

“I just stayed aggressive,” he said. “I had a tough stretch of games. My teammates kept giving me confidence.”
