Drought ends for Stanford

KZ Okpala had 21 points and nine rebounds, Oscar da Silva added 21 points and 10 rebounds and host Stanford downed Arizona State 85-71 on Saturday to earn its first conference victory.

Daejon Davis added 13 points and nine assists for the Cardinal (8-8, 1-3 Pac-12 Conference), who have won seven of eight at home against the Sun Devils.

Luguentz Dort scored 16 points for the Sun Devils (11-5, 2-2), who have lost three of five. Rob Edwards had 13 points and Zylan Cheatham had 12 rebounds.

Da Silva scored 14 of his 21 points and had seven of his 10 rebounds in the first half.

The Cardinal scored the first 12 points of the second half, opening a 52-38 advantage. The Sun Devils were held scoreless the first 5:27.

Arizona State cut the lead to five points midway through the second half

Washington 77, at Colorado 70: Jaylen Nowell scored seven of his 19 points down the stretch to help the Huskies hold off the Buffaloes. David Crisp added 16 points for Washington (12-4, 3-0 Pac-12), which has won five straight.

The Buffaloes (10-6, 1-3) lost their leading scorer and spark when guard McKinley Wright IV left the game with 8:04 left in the first half. Wright was hit on the left shoulder in the lane and immediately grabbed at the joint. He was looked at by the medical staff and then helped to the locker room. He did not return to the game or the bench.

D’Shawn Schwartz picked up the slack with 22 points, including four threepointers — both career highs.

at Utah 88, Washington State 70: Timmy Allen scored 15 points and collected nine rebounds while Both Gach added 14 points to lead the Utes to a victory over the Cougars.

Charles Jones Jr. and Riley Battin each added 11 points while Sedrick Barefield and Parker Van Dyke chipped in 10 apiece for the Utes. Barefield also dished out seven assists.

Utah (8-8, 2-2) snapped a two-game losing streak and beat the Cougars (7-9, 0-3) for the 17th consecutive time in Salt Lake City.

Arizona 87, at California 65: Chase Jeter scored a career-high 23 points and the Wildcats rolled past the Golden Bears to complete a Bay Area road sweep.

Arizona (13-4, 4-0) led by 12 at halftime and turned it into a rout in the second half, extending its winning streak to six games.
