Clippers add Temple, Green

After the Clippers sent Harris to Philadelphia, it seemed as if they were content with falling out of the playoff picture.

If the Clippers land in the lottery, they keep their first-round pick this summer. If they make the playoffs, the pick heads to Boston.

But in the hours before the deadline, the Clippers struck a deal to acquire Garrett Temple and JaMychal Green from Memphis, turning Avery Bradley into a pair of rotation pieces — while trimming a few million off of next season’s books.

The Clippers still are in the running for the No. 8 spot in the West, especially if Danilo Gallinari returns to form.
