Top prospect Vladimir Guerrero Jr. made his major league debut for the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday — notching his first hit with a double in the ninth inning — and will play at Angel Stadium this week when the Blue Jays begin a three-game series against the Angels on Tuesday. Guerrero’s father, Vladimir, is a Hall of Fame outfielder and veteran of 16 major league seasons, including six with the Angels.
The son of a major leaguer following in his father’s footsteps is hardly a rarity.
