The Sparks acquired forward

Chiney Ogwumike, the sister of the team’s star forward, from the Connecticu­t Sun in exchange for their 2020 first-round pick in a trade announced Saturday.

Ogwumike, 6 feet 4, averaged 14.4 points and 7.3 rebounds last season with the Sun after recovering from injuries that sidelined her the previous season.

She will provide depth on the Sparks front line, which includes

The school said Arnold had health issues for more than 30 years.

Arnold played for Iowa from 1979 to 1982, leading the Hawkeyes to their last Final Four appearance, in 1980.
