Story arc:
Soon after she was born to the great House Targaryen, her MadKing dad was slain (see Jaime Lannister). Cast into a desperate existence, she was traded by nasty brother Viserys for a military alliance. Daenerys still became the Mother of Dragons and Breaker of Chains for freeing enslaved peoples. But in her quest to take the throne, as she saw those she loved killed or abandon her, her arc bent toward her crazy father’s in a genocidal siege of King’s Landing. You don’t come back from that.
