Yankees get Encarnacion

The New York Yankees acquired slugger Edwin Encarnacion on Saturday in a trade with the Seattle Mariners.

Encarnacion, 36, began the day leading the American League with 21 home runs.

The first baseman and designated hitter has averaged 37 home runs and 109 runs batted in over his last seven years.
