PROTESTERS WOUNDED, KILLED
An injured protester is carried away during clashes between Iraqi security forces and anti-government demonstrators in central Baghdad. Security forces opened fire and killed six protesters as they tried to remove barriers blocking their march, officials said. At least 41 people were wounded. Tens of thousands of Iraqis have taken to the streets since last month to demand sweeping political change. They complain of widespread corruption, a lack of job opportunities and poor basic services despite Iraq’s vast oil reserves.
