Juiston gets Ducks out of a jam

Payton Pritchard scored a career-high 38 points, Shakur Juiston scored all of Oregon’s points in overtime and the 14th-ranked Ducks rallied to beat No. 24 Arizona 73-72 on Saturday night in Tucson.

Juiston had nine points in overtime, including a layup with 1.4 seconds left that was the winner.

Arizona led 64-58 with 3 minutes 27 seconds to play in regulation but the Wildcats went cold and Pritchard made six consecutiv­e free throws to pull the Ducks even with 15 seconds left.

Arizona’s Josh Green missed two free throws with 2.5 seconds remaining.

Dylan Smith led Arizona with 18 points.

Oregon ended a road skid at three games. Juiston finished with 14 points.

The Ducks offense revolved around Pritchard, who made several difficult three-point baskets while beinig closely guarded.

Pritchard scored 20 points in the first half — on seven-for-11 shooting — as Oregon pushed to a 36-33 halftime lead.

at Arizona State 74, Oregon State 73: Remy Martin and Alonzo Verge Jr. each scored 17 points, and the Sun Devils extended their winning streak to seven games.

It is the longest streak in conference games for the Sun Devils since the 1980-81 team won 11 games in a row.

Tres Tinkle had 25 points and Ethan Thompson had 20 for the Beavers, who have lost three consecutiv­e games.

at Washington 87, California 52: Nahziah Carter scored 16 points, Isaiah Stewart had 15 and the Huskies ended a skid at nine games.

The Huskies held the Golden Bears without a field goal for more than 15 minutes during a stretch spanning halftime.
