99.66% key foreign-funded enterprises in Shandong resume production

As of March 5, of the 44,325 foreign trade enterprises mobilized by Shandong, 39,507 have resumed work, with a resumption rate of 89.3%. Of the 12,018 foreign-invested enterprises, 10,968 have resumed work, with a rate of 91.3%, among which 290 key foreign-invested enterprises have resumed work, with a resumption rate of 99.66%.

Since the outbreak, the provincial CPC Party Committee and the provincial government have attached great importance to the epidemic and responded promptly.

While strictly implemented various measures for the prevention and control of the epidemic, the province have arranged for the resumption of work and production of foreign-invested enterprises in an orderly manner to minimize the impact of the epidemic.

INTRODUCING SUPPORTIVE POLICIES

The general office of Shandong provincial government issued 19 supporting policies and the provincial commerce department issued 16 supporting policies to stabilize foreign trade and foreign investment and solve the problems that key foreign-invested enterprises encountered in foreign trade to resume work.

INNOVATIVE SERVICE MEASURES

A WeChat group was established to promote foreign-funded enterprise to resume work, which enables the government to communicate directly with enterprises, gain first-hand information and improve the efficiency of service to enterprises.

The province launched various services to help the leading foreign-funded enterprises to resume work first, so as to promote the upstream and downstream enterprises to resume work. Shandong also gives full play to the role of “service ambassador” of foreign-invested enterprises to convey policy-oriented voices to help enterprises coordinate and solve practical problems.

OPTIMIZED MEASURES FOR ATTRACTING FOREIGN INVESTMENT A promotion meeting for key foreign-invested projects and a video-linked signing ceremony for key foreign-invested projects were held in the province respectively to coordinate the resumption of work.

16 foreign-funded projects were mobilized to resume work at the promotion meeting and 66 major foreign-funded projects were scored via video connection with 13 countries and regions.
