Already deep into a hiring process to f ill their new coaching staff, the Clippers have another sideline job to f ill after Brian Adams, the coach of the Clippers’ G League affiliate, agreed to join Doc Rivers’ Philadelph­ia coaching staff, two people with knowledge of the situation said.

to extend the deadline for either side to opt out of the current collective bargaining agreement until Nov. 6. The deadline had previously been Friday, which itself was already an extension.
