Dodgers, Angels amend their 40- man rosters

The Dodgers added four players to their 40- man roster before Friday’s deadline to protect minor leaguers from next month’s Rule 5 draft.

Right- handed pitchers Gerardo Carrillo, Andre Jackson and Edwin Uceta were joined by outfielder Zach Reks as the additions. Carrillo, Jackson and Uceta were in the Dodgers’ 60- man player pool for the 2020 season, though Uceta was sent home for disciplina­ry reasons.

The Angels added prospects Brandon Marsh and Chris Rodriguez to their 40- man roster, protecting two of their top minor leaguers from next month’s Rule 5 draft. Rodriguez, 22, was the Angels’ fourth- round pick in the 2016 draft, in which they took Marsh with their second- round selection.

Novak Djokovic ensured the world’s top four players reached the semifinals of the ATP Finals for the first time since 2004 by eliminatin­g Alexander Zverev 6- 3, 7- 6 ( 4) in London.
