REJUVENATE YOUR SENSES AT SENSEI LANA‘I
Deep in the heart of L¯ana‘i, Hawaii’s most exclusive island, discover a rejuvenating retreat known as Sensei L¯ana‘i, A Four Seasons Resort. Located on the traditionally spiritual highlands of Ko¯’ele, Sensei L¯ana‘i transports guests to an earthly paradise full of enchanting possibilities. Surrounded by lush green forests of Cook pines and swaying palms, this secluded resort welcomes guests from across the globe on their journey of greater wellbeing.
Experience the Sensei Way
Led by science and guided by knowledge, the Sensei Way was created by technology pioneer Larry Ellison and world-renowned physician and scientist Dr. David Agus. Preventive health science is distilled into three simple paths for everyday living: Move, Nourish and Rest. These interconnected paths and the practices within them are enriched by one another, forming an essential balance to enhance a lifelong journey of wellbeing.
Your guide to wellbeing
Sensei L¯ana‘i offers the opportunity to develop daily practices that align with your wellbeing intentions. On a fully curated Guided Sensei Experience, you’ll work with a personally matched Guide and a team of wellness experts to develop a customized itinerary that aligns daily practices with wellbeing intentions. Select from over sixty sport and island activities, healing spa treatments, wellness services and one-on-one consultations. All spa treatments include 30 minutes of time to unwind in a private spa hale (meaning “home” in Hawaiian), inviting you to relax amidst this peaceful garden setting and rejuvenate with infrared saunas plus an outdoor shower and soaking pool.
Sensei L¯ana‘i’s featured experiences include healing bodywork, such as Move: Table Thai, centered around the importance of mobility. A nourishing treatment incorporates breathwork along with a full-body massage and wrap to quench your skin and soothe your spirit. Savor the serenity of L¯ana‘i’s surroundings to allow the healing power of Rest, another popular experience. Cap off the experience with a tranquil soak in the rejuvenating waters of an o’furo Japanese-style bath, and take a meditative stroll through a sculpture garden adorned with museum-quality works. Engage in forest bathing or an invigorating Koloiki Ridge hike to connect even more deeply with nature’s elements.
Ignite your senses
One of the most gratifying parts of any vacation is the menu. A tasteful collaboration between world-famous Japanese chef Nobu Matsuhisa and Sensei co-founder Dr. David Agus, Sensei by Nobu offers a seasonal menu harnessing the healing properties of fresh, nourishing ingredients sourced from their L¯ana‘i farm, where they incorporate hydroponic technologies, using 90% less water than traditional farms, and sustainable solar energy to grow nutrient-rich vegetables. The result is deliciously unexpected.
Beyond the resort, you can explore the surrounding landscape on foot, bicycle or horseback across rich red earth through verdant forests. Enjoy a complimentary excursion to Sensei’s oceanfront sister property, Four Seasons Resort L¯ana‘i, including private beach access and à la carte cuisine. Discover the charms of L¯ana‘i City, within walking distance of the resort, and visit the L¯ana‘i Cultural & Heritage Center to learn about the area’s storied past. Explore local restaurants, galleries and boutiques for a true taste of Hawai‘i.
Guests can book a Guided Sensei Experience for two, with rates starting from $1,610 per night, that includes a luxurious room, a Sensei Guide to design a personally curated itinerary, and $1200 of daily Wellness Credit to use toward an Experience Menu of activities, treatments and services.
