Drexel ends drought, qualifies for NCAAs
Mate Okros scored 14 points and hit four threepointers Tuesday for sixthseeded Drexel, which is headed to the NCAA tournament for the first time in 25 years after beating eighthseeded Elon 63-56 in the title game of the Colonial Athletic Association tournament in Harrisonburg, Va.
The Dragons (12-7), whose last NCAA appearance came in 1996 as members of the America East Conference, were 10 for 17 on threes Tuesday and 29 for 51 in their three wins.
Oral Roberts wins
Max Abmas scored 23 points, Francis Lacis made a game-saving block and steal, and No. 4 seed Oral Roberts beat third-seeded North Dakota State 75-72 in the Summit League tournament championship game in Sioux Falls, S.D. It’s the first tournament title for Oral Roberts since 2008.
Also earning bids
Torrey Patton had 23 points and 10 rebounds, Tre Gomillion added 16 points and 13 rebounds, and topseeded Cleveland State won the Horizon League championship 80-69 in Indianapolis for the program’s third NCAA tournament berth. Cleveland State (19-7) snapped a string of four straight 20-loss seasons this year to win its first conference title since 2009 . ... Damian Chong Qui scored 21 points, Malik Jefferson had 10 points and 15 rebounds, and Mount St. Mary’s stunned Bryant 7368 in the Northeast Conference tournament championship game in Smithfield, R.I., and clinched an automatic berth to the NCAA tournament. Bryant (15-6), which entered the game undefeated at home this season, has yet to make an NCAA tournament trip.

DJ Steward scored 17 points, Mark Williams added 13 points and 10th-seeded Duke beat Boston College 86-51 to begin its quest of winning five straight games in the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament in Greensboro, N.C. No team has won five ACC tournament games in five days — but Duke (1211) likely must do so to avoid missing the NCAA tournament for the first time since 1995.
