Georgia Tech survives in overtime

Lorela Cubaj recovered from a scary fall to score 14 points, including the goahead free throws in overtime, and fifth-seeded Georgia Tech overcame a 17-point halftime deficit to beat No. 12 Stephen F. Austin 5452 Sunday.

Avery Brittingha­m had 16 points with 13 rebounds for the Ladyjacks (24-3).

West Virginia 77, Lehigh 53:

Kysre Gondrezick scored 26 points, Esmery Martinez had a double-double and the Mountainee­rs (22-6) ripped the Mountain Hawks (11-5).

Connecticu­t 102, High Point 59: Paige Bueckers scored 24 points and the Huskies (25-1) routed the Panthers (22-7) in a game missed by UConn coach Geno Auriemma, who is recovering from COVID-19.

Oregon State 83, Florida State 59: Aleah Goodman scored 24 points with five rebounds, and five assists as the Beavers (12-7) beat the Seminoles (10-9).

South Carolina 79, Mercer 59:

South Carolina coach Dawn Staley got her 500th career victory when Aliyah Boston and the Gamecocks (23-4) beat the Bears (19-7).

Baylor 101, Jackson State 52: Moon Ursin scored a career-high 24 points and the Bears (26-2) cruised.

Syracuse 72, South Dakota State 55:

In Austin, Texas, Emily Engstler scored 18 points and made three three-pointers in the fourth quarter and the Orange (15-8) routed the Jackrabbit­s (21-4).

Virginia Tech 70, Marquette 63: Elizabeth Kitley had 23 points and the Hokies

(15-9) held on to beat the Golden Eagles (19-7) in San Marcos, Texas.

Iowa 87, Central Michigan 72:

Caitlin Clark, the nation’s leading scorer, had 23 points, seven rebounds and seven assists as the Hawkeyes (19-9) beat the Chippewas (18-9).

Oklahoma State 84, Wake Forest 61: Natasha Mack scored 27 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead the Cowboys (19-8) past the Demon Deacons (12-13).

Tennessee 87, Middle Tennessee 62: In Austin, Texas, Rennia Davis scored 24 points and grabbed 14 rebounds and the Volunteers (17-7) routed the Blue Raiders (17-8).

Kentucky 71, Idaho State 63: Rhyne Howard and Chasity Patterson scored 14 points apiece and the Wildcats

(18-8) grinded out a win over the Bengals (22-4).

Michigan 87, Florida Gulf Coast 66: Leigha Brown scored 28 points, including 17 straight for the Wolverines (15-5) at one point, to beat the Eagles (26-3).

North Carolina State 79, North Carolina A&T 58:

Jada Boyd scored 15 of her 18 points in the second half to help the Wolfpack (21-2) overcome a slow start and coast past the Aggies (14-3) in San Marcos, Texas.

South Florida 57, Washington State 53: Elena Tsineke scored 18 points and five rebounds to lead the Bulls (19-3) past the Cougars (12-12).

Stanford 87, Utah Valley 44: Kiana Williams scored 20 points to boost the topseeded Cardinal (25-2).
