USC, UCLA to allow some fans
USC will open its spring football showcase to about 5,000 fans at the 77,000-seat Coliseum on Saturday after state and county health officials approved limited crowds for the university’s remaining home spring sporting events.
The spring showcase remains the only event open to the general public, with football season-ticket holders offered the first opportunity to purchase tickets. Other spring sports, including baseball, women’s soccer, men’s tennis, women’s water polo and women’s lacrosse, will be open only to “a limited number of family members and guests of student-athletes and coaches.” — Ryan Kartje
UCLA announced that a limited number of team guests could attend outdoor spring sporting events starting Friday, a move made in compliance with state and county public health guidelines.
The school said it would communicate with athletes and coaches about the process allowing family members and guests to attend games.
Tickets will not be available to the general public, and the campus remains closed to the public.

The NBA’s Washington Wizards and NHL’s Washington Capitals said they will start to allow fans at home games at 10% of their capacity this month.
About 2,100 spectators can attend the Wizards’ game against the Golden State Warriors on April 21. The Capitals will welcome back fans for their game against the New York Islanders on April 27.

The Section also said it was working toward securing approvals from various health departments to hold individual championships in golf, swimming, tennis, and track and field. There will be no individual championships for wrestling.
