Re “What a time to move to Texas,” letters, Oct. 13

Several letter writers castigate Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk and others who are leaving California for Texas, a state that doesn’t respect the “basic reproductive rights of women.”

Maybe this state should respect the many Californians who deal with homelessness in their neighborhoods, the highest gas prices in the nation and the high cost of housing.

We can respect women’s reproductive rights, but those who are leaving California are doing so to make better lives for the children they do have.
