1st Suzhou Garden Art Festival opens to showcase unique charm of art

The first Suzhou Garden Art Festival themed "Garden is the Epitome of the World" opened Thursday in Suzhou, east China’s Jiangsu Province.

As a part of the 2021 Suzhou International Design Week, the festival highlights a series of art and design exhibitions that include nearly 200 exhibits made by over 50 artists.

Visitors can discover and appreciate a wealth of contemporary ink paintings, photography, ceramics and other works of art while touring the traditional Chinese gardens.

Music performances and literary dialogues will also be presented to show the unique charm of Suzhou, the city that hosts hundreds of classical Chinese gardens.

The Garden Art Festival will last until Dec.5.
